The Boothbay Playhouse was built in 1937, and served as a summer playhouse & theatre for more than eight decades. Over the years, the Playhouse hosted many well-known actors & guests alike. The fully restored post & beam barn style theatre maintains its original rustic style, while incorporating tasteful modern touches with easy access to local hotels & accommodations ​
